The Fly on the Wall

I just watched Newt Gingrich’s speech at Friday night’s GOP fundraiser.  I’m so thankful for technology that allows me to be the proverbial fly on the wall at these events. I am more convinced than ever that Newt’s intelligence, wit, experience, dignity and classiness will help bring our nation back from the brink. I’m really impressed that he spent time complimenting his fellow competitors (not opponents.) The media will continue to ignore him until he shoots up in the polls, so educate yourself on what he — and the other candidates — stand for. The Anxious Lounge Lizard

It’s somewhat of a dreary day today in north Texas, although the temperature is pleasant.  It makes me happy to see the knock out roses still in bloom here on the sixth day of November.  They didn’t like our harsh summer but are flourishing in our mild fall.  Of course, the low temperature is supposed to be in the 30s and 40s by mid-week, but I will enjoy them while they persist. Nap Time

Well…I’m alive! One week ago today, I was having surgery.  It’s hard to believe that I am already one week post-op, but the calendar doesn’t lie. The Surgery Your prayers for peace lifted me.  I only broke down and cried twice — once when we went in for registration and the reality loomed over my head, and the other when the nurse handed me the gorgeous hospital gown and told me to drop my drawers.  Your prayers for the surgeons went well.  There were no complications during surgery.  They did not have to make a large incision.
