The $72 Billion Question

America started down the road to socialism on February 3, 1913 when the 16th amendment was ratified. This amendment states: The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration. Our federal government has collected income taxes for nearly 100 years. Throw Money At The Dragon?

I was interested to read today of Senator Obama’s speech about reforming the fire-breathing dragon educators call the NCLB (No Child Left Behind) act. Obama’s solution is to throw one billion big ones at the problem.
