Ecclesiastes 1-6

I cannot believe I am up so late writing this blog when my body and my mind are so exhausted that I can barely form a word, much less a coherent sentence!  Yet I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me!

Never has that phrase had so much meaning.  I’d love to tell about it…but I’ll have to later!

These first six chapters of Ecclesiastes sound so depressing, don’t they?  Everything is meaningless.  God gave Solomon wisdom, but it sounds as if wisdom didn’t make him happy.

I liked this verse:

uard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.² Do not be quick with your mouth,
do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven
and you are on earth,
so let your words be few.

Tonight I am letting my words be few!
