The great competition

1King 10-11; 2Chronicles 9

King Solomon was wise about so many things in life…except women.  I would think that marrying 700 women (not including the concubines) would have led him to write more proverbs about wives.

Instead, these wives led him astray not just a little bit, but a lot.  He went so far as to build high places for those “foreign gods,” and the Lord was not pleased.

Insight into my own life?  Be thankful I am the one wife of my one husband!  I can’t imagine competing with 699 other women for his attention!
