Letting God

Jeremiah 4-6

“Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns.  O people of Judah and Jerusalem, surrender your pride and power. Change your hearts before the Lord…”

Jeremiah begged and pleaded with the people of Israel.  He literally writhed in pain because of the visions he saw of the upcoming destruction at the hands of the invaders from the north. Yet the people did not listen.

Stressful situations like this do bring on pain.  I experienced real physical pain when my dog died…I can only imagine what Jeremiah must have been enduring.

Speaking of pain….today was somewhat of a painful day.  I am weary of my director duties and can’t seem to find the time to get everything accomplished that needs to be done.  My heart is heavy because I wanted to start our homeschool in two weeks, but I am nowhere near organized.

All in good time.  I must remember that the Lord is in control, and nothing terrible will happen if I don’t have the school room set up, labeled, and organized by the time school starts.  I’m slowly learning how to “let go and let God.”  It’s going to take divine intervention to get me ready!
