Jeremiah 49-50

Jeremiah predicts more destruction, including the coming destruction of Babylon.  Why?  Because of their idol worship and of the way they treated the Israelite captives.

This post is short due to neck pain.  I learned today that not all massage is created equal.

I posed the question yesterday about modern day, virtual idols.  What might constitute a virtual idol?

Money, power, sports heros, actors, football teams, chocolate, coffee, jewelry, cars, careers?  Someone once told me that an idol is anything a person turns to for comfort apart from the Lord.  In my case, that would be the books I get lost in and perhaps even the dark chocolate I crave every day!  Yours?
