John 2-4
There are times in my life when the road ahead seems impossible; today was such a day. We enjoyed homeschool day in Houston immensely; however, the thought of the five hour drive ahead of me made my already aching back protest loudly.
Now I am home and feel like kissing the floor! We had a smooth, uneventful trip. My back pain wasn’t pleasant, but God provided some incredible handiwork on the highways to help distract me! (The heated seats help an aching back, too!) I spied mile after mile of knee-high grasses topped with purplish blooms. A glimpse of fields dressed with gorgeous white blossoms peeked out behind trees and bushes.
As I read Jesus’ words today, I was reminded of my littleness. And that is how it should be. Like John, I am excited to see Jesus get the glory:
30 He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
31 “He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. We are of the earth, and we speak of earthly things, but he has come from heaven and is greater than anyone else…
Because He is greater than me, He helps me traverse those impossible-looking roads! He helped me bring my daughter home safely…and for that, I am so thankful.
