2 Corinthians 1-9
Again, this is a double duty blog report. I’ve been down for the count the past couple of days with a raging sore throat and laryngitis. The soreness is better but is now replaced by a niggling cough, congestion, and continued laryngitis. I have never lost my voice this completely before. My husband joked that in fifteen years of marriage, he has never experienced me being so quiet!
In my reading tonight, I came across a beautiful description in 2 Corinthians 2 of what we are in Christ that contrasted starkly with the advertisements I read in today’s newspaper:
Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. 15 Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.
Oh, I hope my fragrance is sweet to the Lord! I hope I am able to let go of self long enough to spread the knowledge of Christ to others. I don’t know many others…but I trust the Lord will place them in my time and in my place as He chooses.
