A Look at McCain’s Tree

I must begin this post with a disclaimer that I have no intention to malign anyone’s character. I simply want to chip away the layers of gloss and splattered mud to see the truth about the so-called “presumptive” Republican nominee. Who is this man? What is his record? How does he compare to Mike Huckabee on the issues? Many conservatives “hold their nose” when it comes to Senator McCain because of his stance on illegal immigration. Let’s take a look at what he himself has said about illegal immigration: On Amnesty, to a Tuscon newspaper, 2003 “Amnesty has to be … Continue reading A Look at McCain’s Tree

How Huckabee Can Win: Maryland, Virgina, and DC, Read Before Voting!

Yesterday I was astonished at the audacity of the Washington State Republican Party.  With 87% of the vote in, they declared Senator McCain the winner of their caucus despite the fact that there were only 242 votes between him and Governor Huckabee!  Isn’t this America?  Aren’t ALL votes supposed to be counted?  Do the right thing; don’t cheat.  In Moses’ day, cheaters had to fess up and then pay a restitution.  Too bad Washington State can’t be held to the same standard as the one the Lord gave out in Leviticus 6: 1 The LORD said to Moses: 2 “If … Continue reading How Huckabee Can Win: Maryland, Virgina, and DC, Read Before Voting!

Victory!

Psalm 44 3 It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them.4 You are my King and my God, who decrees [a] victories for Jacob. All Glory and Honor to you, my King. You have caused media pundits to scratch their heads in befuddlement. You have given a righteous man a slice of victory in this country that was founded by men of God!  You have led the way for Huckabee to win the … Continue reading Victory!

Against All Odds: Can Huck win Super Tuesday?

Many things in life happen against all odds. Last night’s surprise ending to the Super Bowl, for one. I’ve written a lot about the underdog and how the Lord often uses those least suited, in our eyes, anyway, to accomplish His goals. One such underdog was David, who not only defeated Goliath but was also an accomplished writer. Reading the Psalms is like looking into the soul of a man who, though flawed, sought to please God in everything he did. Those of us who support the Republican primary’s underdog, Mike Huckabee, can learn a lot about achieving victory in … Continue reading Against All Odds: Can Huck win Super Tuesday?

Why Mitt is a bad fit

Why are we surprised that Goliath News Media is mocking Governor Huckabee?  Take a look at what Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 5: 11 “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you[c] and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way. I urge you to pay close attention to the Republican debates this evening on CNN.  Carefully weigh what each candidate … Continue reading Why Mitt is a bad fit
