Singing Praise!

Today I give thanks to the Lord!! I’ve been using the VECTTOR machine for a little over a month for my fibromyalgia pain and for the endometriosis pain.  Today I can report that IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!! For the first time in over a year, my bad cramps were stopped.  They started up around noon, and I ran a special protocol the doctor had given me…and the bad pain eased!  This is so amazing that I’m still pinching myself to believe it. Thank you, Lord, for opening the door for me to this nontraditional treatment!! :o) Continue reading Singing Praise!

Be second

1 Corinthians 5-11 Tonight’s blog covers two days of readings and contains many instructions from Paul to the Corinthians…and to us.  Underlying all of his exhortations is the belief that we need to consider others before we consider ourselves…to put others first.  Our freedom in Christ (which I have yet to fully comprehend!) does not give us license to act in any old heathen way.  Rather, we are to use our freedom to better others. If something that we do causes someone else to stumble and sin, then we shouldn’t do it.  That’s why it is a good idea to … Continue reading Be second

Finding delight

Psalm 111-118 Today’s psalms are mostly about praise.  What joy it is to read psalms that have been turned into songs that I sing in church and hear on the radio! However, tonight I want to examine one verse in Psalm 112: Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands. Do you delight in commands?  Honestly, there are many times that I chafe at commands.  I have a strong tendency to want to be my own boss…so much so that I fear there are moments when the Lord would have me do one … Continue reading Finding delight

1 Chronicles 3-5: Marching orders

The Lord is awesome!  Yesterday I wrote about the power of the Name of Jesus.  Today in church, the worship music was all about the Name! Because today’s reading was so dry (more begats, from more tribes of Israel), tonight I want to record my thoughts about worship today. I wish I could bottle up the feeling I get when I am surrounded by fellow Christians of like mind.  As we sing to Jesus, it’s as if all walls are torn down.  Nothing exists beyond our praise for the true King…we are all fallen, broken people, who have come to … Continue reading 1 Chronicles 3-5: Marching orders

Singing with my Soul

Our God is good, all the time! Awhile back I blogged about the desert place in my heart and how I wondered if I was merely discontented or if the Holy Spirit was stirring me up for something more. Well, He gave me something more today! As I wrote previously, one of my biggest desires is to worship God with my entire self, as Jesus taught in John 4: 23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God … Continue reading Singing with my Soul
