Wholeheartedly

1 Kings 7, 8
2 Chronicles 4, 5

Solomon built the temple and his palace, employing experts to construct the bronze and golden implements in the temple.  It took seven years to construct the temple; it took thirteen years to construct his palace.

Yesterday I didn’t read or blog…that’s a first in this journey of mine to read through the Bible in a year and one I will try not to repeat.  It is much too easy to skip when a habit is so new!

I loved Solomon’s prayer at the dedication of the temple.  It echoes my thoughts as I look ahead to this very busy week.  I am hostessing a Parent Practicum this week and am expecting up to 135 adults and 85 children!  Any success of this endeavor is the result of the Lord’s goodness.  He is a good God, all the time:

“O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way.

Lord, you are my source and my strength and shield.  I thank you for my family and ask that you help us continue wholeheartedly in Your way.
