Ezekiel 40-41

Ezekiel is taken up in a vision in these two chapters to Israel.  A man with a measuring cloth is there and shows Ezekiel all the dimensions of this gleaming temple; the outer walls, the gates, the inner rooms, etc.  He’s very detailed in this vision right down to the ornamental carvings of palm trees and cherubim.

The Lord cares about every small detail.  I wish I could stuff that in my brain in such a way that I would really trust Him…because I need Him right now.  I need Him to remove the fear from my mind and to give me peace about my (supposed) upcoming surgery.  I need assurance from him that this surgery is indeed the right step….and that His hand is in all the details…the large and the small.
