Sibling Rivalry

W-O-W.  That’s my overall impression today after beginning Beth Moore’s James Mercy Triumphs Bible Study.  It has been at least six years since I participated in a formal Bible Study.  Then I started homeschooling, and the clock grew wings and flew right out the window.  I did my own study these past two years, reading the Bible through chronologically, and I’m not going to stop doing that because there is value in looking at the big picture. Jabba the Couch

From the looks of things, I am greatly improved, and my surgery was even more transforming than I thought possible! A Lounge Lizard’s Reality

This is the Lounge Lizard, checking in fifteen days post-hysterectomy.  Don’t I look marvelous?  That surgery was truly transformational! Detailing my dream school

If the country decided to make me the Education Guru Extraordinaire, I would make some mighty drastic changes to the current public education system, and I would start with removing the word “system” from the mentality. Children are not products produced in a factory.  Yet today’s methodology of education assumes that the students are the products.  Teachers are the factory workers, shaping the products.  Administrators are the managers deciding what shapes the products should become. The Fly on the Wall

I just watched Newt Gingrich’s speech at Friday night’s GOP fundraiser.  I’m so thankful for technology that allows me to be the proverbial fly on the wall at these events. I am more convinced than ever that Newt’s intelligence, wit, experience, dignity and classiness will help bring our nation back from the brink. I’m really impressed that he spent time complimenting his fellow competitors (not opponents.)
