Ezekiel 13-15 It’s been a very long day. Beautiful service and time with family…then a very long car ride. We had to stop for the night and will finish up the drive tomorrow. More thoughts about idols today. Ezekiel even used the same phrase I did earlier…the Israelites had idols of the heart. I’m too exhausted to finish out this thought…but more to come tomorrow! Ezekiel 9-12 Ezekiel warned the king that not only would he be exiled, but also that he would not see. And so it happened…his eyes were gouged out before he was exiled. Today an amazing thing happened at a Starbucks. I’ll write about it when I get home and have a real keyboard….but let me say that God is Sovereign and causes all things to take place. Ezekiel 5-8 The Lord gave the Israelites plenty of warnings about their need to turn from their idolatry. In Ezekiel 8, we read how the spirit of the Lord picked him up by the hair and took him to the temple…there he was able to see the hinges the leaders were doing in secret. That is a great reminder that the Lord sees everything, and he hears every thing we say as well as everything we think.
