Teacher-In-Chief

Is anyone in our country above the law? Apparently our esteemed national leaders consider laws beneath them when those laws do not serve their purposes…and I am beyond angry at the ludicrous way our leaders keep breaking their own laws. Let’s start at the top, shall we? President Obama is violating the 1974 Budget Act for the third year in a row.  I guess the IRS will give me an extension on my taxes if I decide I need a few more weeks to “finalize decisions and technical details.”  WRONG!  If my daughter decides she needs an extra few weeks … Continue reading Teacher-In-Chief

The ABCs On The Wall

Although my faith is firm in my King Jesus, I cringe to see the ABCs on the wall for this country we inhabit if we do not stand firm and refuse to believe the deception swirling around us. Many Americans have been duped, such as this one: If I help him, he’s gonna help me.” The bedrock of this country is crumbling in the name of ‘help’.   A man in El Paso jumped off a bridge to his death and left 2 notes behind to Senator Obama, asking him to “help” his family.  What is wrong with this picture? Obama … Continue reading The ABCs On The Wall

Wealth Redistribution as a Civil Right

My husband received a funny email from a friend over the weekend about what the future might look like in the workplace during an Obama presidency.  It talked about the employees pooling their salaries so that the wealth will be distributed evenly, etc.  But what was a joke over the weekend looks like it could very well speak of reality if Americans don’t wake up and come out from under the spell of deception. This morning FoxNews posted a link to a very provocative audio clip in which Senator Obama spoke of wealth redistribution in terms of the civil rights … Continue reading Wealth Redistribution as a Civil Right

Huckabee’s Last Stand…in Faith

It’s almost spring in Texas! The grass is getting green around the edges of sidewalks and houses, trees and shrubs are beginning to bloom, and tulips are popping up all over the place. On Saturday the weather was so warm we needed sunscreen to be outdoors! But this is, after all, Texas, and that means that nothing is predictable about the weather. If you don’t like it, wait a minute. It’ll change. And that’s what happened to us last night. After a very warm weekend, Monday began with a boom as severe storms swept through the region, leaving behind downed … Continue reading Huckabee’s Last Stand…in Faith

Why This Texan Voted for Huckabee, and others will too!

The Texas and Ohio primaries are coming up this Tuesday. The Goliath News Media and conservative pundits have all but pushed Mike Huckabee aside in the face of Senator McCain’s accumulation of delegates and poll numbers. What they discount, however, is the rural vote. Huckabee took the south on Super Tuesday, primarily in rural areas. The big cities went for McCain (why, I don’t know), but the common-sense folks of rural America recognize something genuine, fresh, and new in Mike Huckabee. He is untainted by Washington politics. He does not have a Keating Five scandal in his past. He is … Continue reading Why This Texan Voted for Huckabee, and others will too!
