The Science, Machine, and Early Results

My fingers have been itching to blog about my experience at the South Texas Innovative Medicine clinic.  I still can’t believe that I journeyed there by myself without the sturdy hand of my husband keeping my anxiety at bay on the airplane…yet, in a way, I can believe it, because the Kingdom of God is IN me.  Jesus’ strong hands carried me through the week.  And although I was lonely, I was never alone. On my first day to the clinic, I underwent various tests.  X-rays of my feet and ankles showed obvious darker areas where the bone was thinning … Continue reading The Science, Machine, and Early Results

My new Christmas wish list

Matthew 19; Mark 10 51“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” 52“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. If Jesus asked me what I wanted him to do for me (as if I deserve anything from Him!), what would I ask for?  What would YOU ask for? Freedom from anxiety.  That is high on my list. Freedom from pain.  That is another request that I would ask. Tomorrow I will do what is usually … Continue reading My new Christmas wish list

Freedom

John 9-John 10:21 Jesus healed a blind man on the Sabbath using his spit and some dirt from the ground.  Rather than praise the Lord for this miracle, the Pharisees accused Jesus of breaking the law. Did you get that?  He.Healed.A.Blind.Man. The Pharisees were then shown to be spiritually blinded because they did not see the miracle and the authority behind the healing. Even my germaphobe self would not mind if Jesus’ saliva came in contact with my skin!  I don’t think HE has germs.  How could He?  He was God clothed in flesh and blood. In fact, if Jesus … Continue reading Freedom

Seeking His Glory

Matthew 17; Mark 9; Luke 9:28-62 Today’s reading centered around the Transfiguration.  One interesting aspect to this that I never noticed before is that when Jesus set out to go to his death in Jerusalem, he sent messengers ahead of him to prepare a place for him in Samaria….but the people there didn’t welcome him because he was going on to Jerusalem.  I think I must be missing a piece of the culture here and need to do some reading.  But not tonight! Wouldn’t you like to have been with the disciples on the hillside when Jesus was transfigured?  Or … Continue reading Seeking His Glory

To touch His robe

Matthew 8:14-34, Mark 4-4 Again I came to the account of the woman who suffered from bleeding receiving healing from touching Jesus’ robe. What an appropriate story for today of all days. I woke to unbelievable pain at 1:30 this morning and am still praying for it to get better. Just one word from Jesus and I KNOW it would be so! The pain is so severe I am nauseous. I might as well get the surgery and may even consider a hysterectomy if it would eliminate this crushing pain. Knowing that fibromyalgia means my nerves are over sensitive does … Continue reading To touch His robe
